Ej here. I’m a multidisciplinary artist with deep roots in northern England. I moved to Manchester in 2018 to start my bachelor’s in photography, which I completed in 2023 after studying through the pandemic. I grew up in Elsecar, South Yorkshire, a small coal mining village on the outskirts of Barnsley, surrounded by a deep working-class history of activism and social justice. My family history is a significant part of my personal photographic exploration, from digital domestic family archives to analogue. The journey of photography fascinates me within our ever-changing digital world.
My professional and personal life is creative through and through, from expressive painting as a form of therapy to documenting my life’s journey with my trusty Nikon F3. My life flourishes when my experience is felt through visual means. With a strong foundational skill set, my ability to play after completing clients’ professional needs allows me to go above and beyond when working alongside a brand.
Head to my website for a look into my experience. For a more personal expression of my varied interests, you can find my model portfolio on Instagram or a chatty series on TikTok.
All the best,
Emily Jayne
